I used to do it up big when I was in a neighborhood in MA where kids came to the door. Here, I'm too rural, so they do trunk or treat. One of these times I'll decorate my car and go join the throng in downtown to set up for the kids.
I would turn on the old radio show horror stories, play spooky music, dress up, and decorate the front porch to hand out candy. I'm betting I could do better with the trunk... hmmm.
That sounds amazing--we went downtown into town and all the businesses showed out with costumes and candy for the kids. She got quite a haul! You could have a really fun setup!
