Hey, babes!

Typically my newsletters are for Sundays, but today is the birthday of a friend who passed away some years ago and who I love deeply, so I’m feeling thoughtful and, more than anything, wanted to take time to honor him.

He was one of the most generous people I’ve ever known. A biker who loved poetry, shrooms, and sunsets—but above all, his family. The type to pull over in the middle of nowhere and take a photo of a field of flowers, call you at 2am to talk about your day, bake a cake for someone who had no one to celebrate with, or give his last dollar to a stranger in need. He was also equally likely to pee on your car in a bar parking lot, but balance is key.

He was a son, brother, new father, and a beloved friend to many.

Rest in peace, and happy birthday.
