January is already taking my breath away. And I mean that in more ways than one. 2026 has already turned out to be full of surprises and strange blessings, some things I’ve been waiting for a long time and some things I didn’t dare hope for. I am very tired… but there have been big and unexpected supports coming in to keep me moving.

If the rest of this year keeps up at the same pace, 2026 will be a wildly different year from 2025. The Year of the Snake persists until the middle of February and ends with Seollal (Lunar New Year) on Feb 17, so you may notice that there are some things not quite wrapped up and loose ends leftover from 2025 waiting to resolve. That’s more or less the space I’m in right now, a last shedding where the only things I control are my mindset and self-care.

Book News

Moving through drafting the final episodes of For Miles and then moving into my first major projects of the year. My creativity is coming back to life in a way that feels more sustainable, for the first time in maybe two years. I am not ready to share more about my plans until things are a little further in development, but I know that I am passionate about my upcoming projects and feeling clearheaded about the direction.

Highlight

This year I am keeping my signing commitments to an absolute minimum. I have one in Washington State (Wicked Readers, April 10-11 in Tacoma, WA) and one local event (Smut Lovers, Sept 16-20 in Orlando, FL). I will be traveling to North Carolina as a reader to go to TNT in March. This year is focused on the writing. I hope I see you there.
